Black and white portrait of a woman with shoulder-length blonde hair, smiling, wearing a dark blouse with puffed sleeves and jeans, with her arms crossed.

I am a professional life coach & leader in the nonprofit world. A writer. A reader. A mother of two. A believer in both the power of female friendships & in our own ability to reinvent ourselves and our lives.

If you’ve ever been swept up in a novel, you know the truth: the plot twist is where things get interesting. It’s the moment the story veers off course, the ground shifts, and nothing will ever be the same. In books, we lean in. In life, though? We often brace ourselves, resist, or try to cling to the familiar.

I’ve lived through more than my share of plot twists—divorce, chronic illness, heartbreak, and the slow loss of a parent to Alzheimer’s Disease. Each one cracked me open, dismantled the version of life I thought I was writing, and forced me to ask: What now? What I discovered is that every plot twist, no matter how painful, also carries an invitation—to reinvent, to reclaim the narrative, and to imagine a bigger, bolder, more beautiful ending than the one I’d planned.

I know my story echoes the stories of so many women who find themselves at their own point of no return—suddenly aware that the life that looks right on paper no longer feels true in their hearts. My greatest privilege is to walk alongside those women, drawing on my own lived experience, and helping them write their next chapter with honesty, courage, and authenticity.

Because while we can’t always control the plot twists, we can choose how the story unfolds.
